When a member pays toward a pledge on M-Pesa, the payment is confirmed with Safaricom and counted against what they promised. Nobody has to add it up by hand.

When a member pledges toward the building, a mission or a harambee, MyChurch keeps the promise on record, counts every M-Pesa payment toward it and reminds them kindly by SMS. The committee sees exactly how far the church has come.

Members get a kind SMS under your church's name on the schedule you choose, with what they have given and what is left. The office can also send one at any time.

A building fund, a car for the pastor or a harambee gets its own FR- account number and goal. Members and visitors can give to it straight from M-Pesa.

About pledges and fundraising
Can members pledge from their phones?
Yes. Members can make a pledge in the MyChurch app, and the office can record pledges from pledge cards or import a whole list from a spreadsheet.
How often are pledge reminders sent?
You choose. Reminders go out on the schedule set for each pledge, and the office can send an extra reminder whenever it is needed. Each one says what the member has given and what is left.
Can people outside the church give to our fundraiser?
Yes. A fundraiser has its own FR- account number on your paybill, so friends, family and well-wishers can give to it on M-Pesa, and every gift is receipted.
Are pledges on the Basic plan?
Yes. Pledges, reminders and fundraisers are part of every plan. SMS reminders use your church's SMS balance.
